 The president of the United Arab Emirates called the presidents of Syria and Turkey, expressed condolences and sympathy


Abu Dhabi, February 6, 2023 (left). President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has made separate phone calls to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. 


His Excellency the President expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the presidents of Syria and Turkey, their people and the families of those affected by the devastating earthquake in both countries. He also expressed solidarity by offering his help for the speedy recovery of the injured. 


His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan offered the UAE's support for Syria and Turkey and all assistance in their efforts to mitigate the damage caused by the earthquake. The Presidents of Syria and Turkey expressed their gratitude to His Excellency and expressed their wish for the development and success of the UAE.
